                           LOST  WONDERS
                                      by
                                               Sue

Time has run the past is gone and with it many wonderful things.
Bright Centaurs, wonderous Unicorns and fairies with shimmering wings.
Griffons and Sayters are no longer to be seen.
Nor are the shining Dragon, the clever Elves and Sprites,
The Mermaids and Selkies.
All are gone from this worlds scene.
All magical beasts and Elvish feasts have faded with the past.
And yet....are they all truly gone?  Never again to be seen?
Or do they still exist somewhere outside of dreams?
Do they hide in some parallel world that's close but simply out of sight?
And there the Giants,Pegasus and all the rest dance to the glorious sound of Pan's pipes .
And the great Serpents still swim the seas and Dragons rule the skies?
That is the world I wish to enter.
Though it be far away and truly no better than the one I live in now.
But oh!  How wonderful, exciting and colorful it must be!
Just imagine a land where MAGIC truly works!
And adventure and danger can lurk behind every rock and tree.
And in the very air above and on and under the sea.
That is the world I'm going to, just you wait and see.
One fine day I'll find that shining gateway and step through
Never again on this world to be seen.
But until that day the time I must just while away.
Playing my part in this worlds' many scenes
And have to settle for short visits there
Only....SIGH.... in my dreams.

I won this award  while I was with The Site Fights.  I had a great time and met many wonderful people.

Did you ever have one of those days where the world in general was driving you crazy?  And you wish everyone would just go away and leave you alone?  Well here's a little song to sing that may cheer you up a bit.  (Oscar Mayer Wiener song)

Oh I wish I was a mean old dragon.
That is what I'd truly like to be!
Cause if I was a mean old dragon,
There would soon be no one left but me!

Here's a song for the days when you're feeling like you're friends with everyone.  (same tune as above)
Oh, I wish I was a prancing, dancing Unicorn!  That is what I'd truly like to be!  'Cause if I were a  prancing, dancing Unicorn,
I could help out everyone I see !

THE CHEWING GAME
">
">
">
">
Prairie dog's our species name
CHEWING on things is our favorite game!
We CHEW up everything in sight!
All the day and half the night!

We CHEW on the rug; we CHEW on the floor!
We CHEW on th couch; we CHEW  on the door!
We CHEW on the wall; we CHEW on your shoes!
If we couldn't CHEW we'd have the blues!

We CHEW on boxeas; we CHEW on wood!
CHEWING  on things is always good!
We'd CHEW  up metal if we could!
To keep our teeth nicely trimmed you see
We really must CHEWING be!

(Just in case you still don't have a clue
We'll happily chew on the window sill too!)

We'll CHEW your shirt; we'll CHEW your pants!
Things around us don't stand a chance!
Ripping paper, breaking threads
Are WONDERFUL sounds to the ears on our heads!
So we chew, Chew, CHEW,! with all our MIGHT!
We CHEW on EVERYTHING in sight!!!!!

                    HIDDEN UNICORNS

Beautiful unicorns where have they gone,
With their flashing hooves and wonderous horn?
Are they still in this world born ?
If they are then where can they be ?
Is the Red Bull keeping them in the sea?
Or are they hiding behind the forrest trees ?
They are hiding and cleverly.
But not from those like you and me
Who can look with eyes that truly see.
For in ages long past when mankind hunted them and they
Feared that they could not last
They decided that it was their horn that must be hidden fast !
So they cast a magical spell
That mankind could not tell them apart
From the horses that with him dwell.
So look with extra care
At the face of that special stallion, gelding or mare
For you may find a wonder hidden there.
Now pick up the book of the ages and
As you flip through its pages
See the unicorns as they were known by the mages.
Horns in full view running wild and free
Not locked in mankind's cages !
